Two parts

Assisted Setup of a Company

The project is done as two parts:

First, the setup;
Second, the accounting entries.
Instructions in the project will guide you through the process completely. You may also want to refer back to earlier projects if you need further information or help with specifics.
The word "assisted" in the title of this project ("Assisted Setup") means that the handout contains guidance/assistance for each step of the setup.

VeloCity, Part 1

This is the first half of the assignment, the company setup.

Assignment:

Note: This project involves creating a company's data files. That means there is no data file.

1. Ask your teacher for a copy of the VeloCity project.
2. Read and work through the project.
   Stop after:
   - the SETUP is complete
   - AND you have changed History status to Finished
   
   
3. Look at the following reports:

-Chart of Accounts
-Employee Summary

-Inventory Summary
-Balance Sheet
-Income Statement
-Trial Balance

To hand in your project:

1. Look at all the reports
2. Give your teacher a copy of your file with your name and the project name. It should be in a folder which contains both parts of the Sage 50 files. For example:  GeorgeVeloPt1.
3. You cannot start Part 2 of VeloCity until your teacher has marked your Part 1.

VeloCity Part 2
This is the second half of the assignment, making entries for the company you just set up. You will start this part when you receive your marked VeloCity Part 1 from your teacher.

Assignment:

1. Use the VeloCity data file that you created in Part 1
2. Follow the Instructions for May

3.     Look at all the reports listed under the Instructions.

4.     Give your teacher a copy of your file with your name and the project name. It should be in a folder which contains both parts of the Sage 50 files. For example:  GeorgeVeloPt2May31
